The stories won't be bloggerized because it'll be open to the public, and the public needs to be proof-read, people are bound to submit irrelevant material and poor stories, we are the middle-men between them and the site, we decide what gets published in the "featured" stories. There'll be a section for people to add shorter stories in a generic format, that won't go through us, but most likely entries will have to be edited or deleted after posting, if we get anything like what I get from the Fatima Stories thing. This is just an idea though, if you guys can think of a better format let me know.

Well the stories are bloggerized right? So maybe an invisible frame like the one on this page with a design that incorporates a decent blend of local photos surrounding the frame containing the story text.

yeah... that should be the name of the blog because we all dread in here. lol... nah seriously. I love the fact that we have all these new faces in here and that brown rose. I didn't have much to say in the past and I was trying to give my site my own traffic. on top of that fucking UB decided that I am sane (I don't know where they got that shit from) and I have a shit load of work to do including 2 plaster models which were due today. some charcoal drawings and a fucked up painting. I only have one MOULD for the plaster (I didn't even begin the other yet.

I am glad to see the new faces and as Jus said we welcome you into the circle of the easy 1000. from next tuesday I should be blogging a bit more on the 9 and on my side as a lot of deadlines would have been met and passed. but ruf my boy. no stress. is only love in here.

Let me explain what probably appears as a lack of interest. I’ve been a long time fan of easy 9, I’ve read through all the entries, the entire archives, and check for updates on a semi-daily basis. The original bloggers know that I’m the E-mail guy, the one that tried to be involved without leaving a dent.
But now I’m a part of the blog. … It just doesn’t feel right. I feel as though I’m treading on hallowed soil, per se. The introduction of new bloggers is great, gives a sense of change, evolution, and the likes. But what happened to the days of Dre’s spontaneous wit, of stress and dreams of interaction, of the whole group supporting the one negatively afflicted member? What happened to anji, jade, mq, and spud? I know that they don’t show up as regularly, but they are a large part of easy 9. I, myself at least, don’t think I’m just substitution for them. It’s like we were recruited to burn down the synagogue and build a stadium.

So, all I’m really saying is that I won’t be an amazingly active part of easy 9, just kind of the water boy: glad to watch, apt to assist, but never dreaming of being a replacement.

Rossi. Welcome. The original 9ers seem to be either extremely busy or very scared of us. I'd like to think it's the latter.

Citystories seems to have a good theme. Writing about Trinidad would definitely be interesting. Locations would probably have to be restricted to the more urban areas --- San Fernando, POS, St. James, Chaguanas, Arima, etc etc.. Unless Powazek gives us permission to write about Trinidad holistically, but that's against the idea of the site, from what I see. Pictures would be great but I sadly lack any photos of the country (my local landscape photos are restricted to Tobago, which is a bloody shame since Trinidad has quite picturesque locales if you knew where to look).

Design requires more thought. I'll look around and see if I can get ideas with my non-artsy self.

Guys, I need your help with a project.

Derek Powazek started City Stories (CS) a loooong time ago, and I wrote him quite a few months ago about possibly starting a stories site for Trinidad, and its major cities / locations. Obviously I'd rather have your help especially with how we should structure the site and what locations should we have people add stories about. (CS works by letting visitors add stories about certain places, in other words the places have to be integral to the story)

I'll need pictures first and foremost, and if anyone has design ideas let me know. I think it'd be cool to be a part of this thing, I've always admired the man.

An another topic, I wanted to do something with Easy 9 members a long time ago and I never took it anywhere, I'm not telling you what yet, just answer me this: how many of you have scanners and / or photoshop?

Also, I've long wanted to add newsfeeds to Easy 9, to let us see what's new on everyone else's site right from here, I've got my newsfeed up and running, but I need you guys to start syndicating your content too so I can pull the feeds from your sites. I've been trying to get RSSMonkey to work with absolutely no luck, if anyone can get this thing running on their server TELL ME.

The movie was good. The book was better. The boy's seeming ignorance can probably be put aside by the fact that he's only 8. Some are different from others. A quiet night, I've commenced Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Maybe it is indeed that urge where my inner child is screaming to be let loose. Hardly likely as I confess he was never really gone, just toned down. An investigator trying to answer at least one of the questions thats plagues like locust in my mind.

'Whats so special about this movie anyways?'

Blame the hunger, the thirst, the craving, for normalcy. For at least an hour and a half our minds will be too preoccupied with the special effects that we'll forget of recent happenings. A mere hour and a half of apparently to some, giving into satan. Running a search for Mr Potter and the dark one himself proves how far superstitions and witchcraft really captivate the lot of us.

The imagination helps ease the mucky-mucky of it all. Tenacious D. The new wave of music? Secretly I hope so, for at least a change from all the screaming and shouting, the songs with the *itches and da hoes, full of rage. Unfortuanely goes to show that some rockers/ rappers lack the creativity that comes from the heart, and take the easy road; going for what sells.

What happened to the Isaac Hayes, the Curtis Mayfield's & all the Marvin Gayes?

A review done by 2 8yr olds. The girl's conclusion was the book was better than the movie. The boy's own was both predictable & obvious, "the movie" proved to be the winner. Is it a wonder why girls believe they are superior? Nothing can ever surpass exercising the imagination. Nothing! There are no constraints, no barbwired fencing, no borders. The magic of being engrossed by a great novel ranks as high as gazing lost into the eyes of the one you love. Its boundries are as far as your imagination goes, those with a lack of get lost in the blur.

The boy tops it off by suggesting the girl isn't really that cute. The age where 'girls suck' and the belief that you don't really need 'em reigns. Where did that 'magic' go? :Þ

Stef, skin three has been done for quite some time, I just never updated the "3" link, and the idea behind the skins was to have everyone build a layout, so Stef, Mark, any ideas?

So I was thinking that I'd better whip out the stationery and write Santa that I'd really really like a laptop. A nice laptop. With at least 30GB hard drive and a 3D sound card and a TV card and wireless internet capability and jah knows what else.

Stefan. Call me Stef. 20. Estranged Trini residing/studying in South Florida. Allegedly "strange enough to fit in" by the owner of this blog that I myself have been following for the past year or so. Boo. No I'm not the coding/design wizard that most of you are. Deal with it.

And may I be so presumptuous to offer my opine on the first post? Why thank you ever so much...

I say Trinidad. I realise that the US is simply wonderful for christmas if you have your woman with you, but you'll have her either way it seems like and i'm sure you can get away from the wrath of your father on a frequent-enough-basis. Plus you have your friends there who (as I've noticed) profess to not see you enough.

Loud sex is overrated anyway. Sorrel on the other hand....now there's something you can't underestimate...

didn't you ask me this like about a year ago or something. well I'll answer it in the same way. do the one that pleases you. weigh the pros and cons. your friends, me included with quicker understand you not seeing us because you out of the country, than you not seeing us because you couldn't find the time to give us because you continue to give your girl all. I love my girl as much as you do but you wouldn't see me neglecting my friends and never hearing the end of it when I come home. but it's your choice bro. make a wise one.

I come to Trinidad for Christmas, parents fund ticket, parents bitch every time they see me, I have no car, I have to beg for a car, I see my friends, I tickle my friends, I have an old room, I go down the islands, I have romantic sex on the beach, I relax, we spend 400 bucks doing that, we have 300 more bucks to play with, I have to split my piddly 3 weeks between Michelle's house and mine, I have to listen to father complain about money and threaten to never bring me home again, I don't spend enough time with friends I love, I don't see some altogether, I hope they understand, I get lots of free food and sorrel, I will have lots of sex.

I stay in the States, we spend 400 bucks to bring Michelle here, we go to New Jersey and spend Christmas with her aunt, we spend another 260 bucks doing that, we have 30 more bucks to play with, we may see snow, I will see NJ for the first time, I am still in the States therefore I have my own car, my own place, no parent's breathing down my neck, no yelling and no family to bother me, I have one extra week with Michelle, we will be together all the time, usually in one place, I may go skiing, I may fall down and take stupid pictures of such, I will not see my friends, I hope they understand, I will go to many movies with Michelle, we will go to Denny's, I may still drink sorrel, I will have lots of sex, I will have lots of loud sex.

So people, I can't decide, so help.
