ahhh, NY. Big city of dreams and flashy things. Also, it's as confusing as a 3 sided rubix cube, and the fuckin trains make no fuckin sense! ok. I think it's time for you cats to elevate your anime selections. 2 things, even though Jus came with the hyperlink and all that rot, Spirited Away is THE BEST anime out right now, and if you dont see it, may your balls shrivel in disappointment (if you have no balls, simply grow some and then allow to shrivel for 8 minutes). This anime will make you feel like a kid again (no, we are not still kids, face facts) Also, Hellsing is without a doubt, the coolest Vampire Hunter D/ Trigun crossover in recent history and must be seen in crystal clear divx....i mean...uh...poof!

It's just cool so far. I have to admit though, I'm ogling quite a lot at the animation itself. The story that I'm trying to establish in my fuzzy brain, it's there alright, but the mixture of the cinematics with it gives wunnerful impact! For your ingesting pleasure:

If looking for insane, fractured, obscene, hilarious, amazingly (somehow) talent-oriented music, look for The Left Rights, a subsection of Mindless Self Indulgence. This is only for people who are willing to feel a little uncomfortable, to have anatomy shouted out in fifth grade recess fashion. There is spastic, innovative strength to support the (most obviously) drug/sex/controlled rage induced music. I like them tremendously, both the Left Rights and Mindless.
Spirited Away seems to have received very similar reviews to Princess Mononoke, Grave of the Fireflies, and Nausicaa, other works by the same director/charcater designer/animation studio. Or at least I think all that is the same. The other three movies are wonderful, even though I can't say I've seen all of Nausicaa. Those others should be greatly enjoyed.
A very good movie that I've just recently discovered is Yellow Submarine by The Beatles. I suppose I'm the last to realize it, but they have some amazing talent. I love their disregard for the audience at parts of the movie, showing more concern in animated experimentation than entertainment.
And a book to read if you desire a look foreward from behind, a "visionary" theorizing about the future from the past, is R. Buckminster Fuller's I Seem to be a Verb. The introduction is wonderful. It is not a novel, it is a collection of quotes and small paragraphs with pictures, kind of a graphic spouting and reciting.

Well, I just finished watching Monsoon Wedding, quite a lovely movie, made me think of another movie I wanted to recommend, especially to Reg, Spirited Away, by far the best anime I've seen since Perfect Blue. So kiddies, go get lost in some great stories...

I've also been waiting for a while to find more people who've seen Lain to give me some feedback on some parts which I could NOT find an answer, one that comes to mind is the alien, what was that supposed to represent...?

Well theirs seems to be one of the better communities I've seen based out of old Trini in a while, they need to tighten up their design though.
