at our core Easy 9 is all about friends, talking, yelling, bitching, and ganging up on an unsuspecting victim, it's about keeping in touch and seeing what develops when you jam a bunch of people in a weblog. Although not everyone knew each other when they first signed up for this crazy thing, they sure do now (the initial ramblings from all these strange people can be found in our earliest posts). But why you ask? It's like this, I was getting a little frustrated being so far away from my friends, slowly losing touch and being a general bastard, so I did what comes naturally, I built a web site. It was a selfish act, I'll concede that, it was all about me wanting my friends as close as possible, but then it grew to them getting to know each other and making connections of their own. I never really intended this to be a frequent hit for anyone not directly related to it, but as the web goes, everyone's welcome, so that's why we've got an about page, you wouldn't be here if you weren't a little interested. All in all, I'm happy I did it, I love my friends, and I'm pretty sure they love me (taking liberties as I do), so come in, see what we have to say, and maybe say a little yourself. why the name? It was first intended to be a community blog with 9 members, and I thought it was a cool play of the saying "hard 8", but it grew just a little more than I thought it would, after all, you can never have too many friends. Anyway, even though it's now an even 20 bloggers (half of which are seasonal, but we love you anyway) I couldn't bring myself to change the name, plus you know, photoshop hours are valuable. easy skins Now folks, just because we thought it was cool, we've decided to apply "skins" to the interface, in other words you can change the way easy 9 looks, if you like a layout, bookmark it instead of the main url and voila, use it as your default. There are a row of numbers 1-9 usually at the top of every layout, indicating 9 possible layouts, not all are active, because we're slowly building them amongst ourselves, but we encourage you to keep checking and trying them all. contact us Just to be cute, there's a little "e" tucked away in most layouts, it'll send an e-mail to every member of easy 9.
