Chronicles

Friday, October 21

I've had pictures for a year now just sitting there and I meant to post them, so now catching up. This one is from Carnival 2005, my friend Mary Marshall's section in Trini Revellers. Her Flamenco costume designs were gorgeous and I was there in the mas' camp chilling out while people collected their costumes.

Anyways, Elspeth's "words"post got me thinking so I decided to answer them here since well I'm here and I need to fill up some space. Also not feeling to kill any more trees. The creative juices need to get going anyway since I have to paint and draw today.

1. The name of an imaginary animal: Hoobalooba
2. A place anywhere in the world: South Korea
3. Something edible: Tarts
4. A month of the year: December
5. A number: 7
6. An adjective describing something in nature: Mossy
7. An adjective describing something that makes you feel good: Groovy
8. Something valuable: Rubies

My story is:

The Hoobalooba is a very peculiar specimen which lives deep in the heart of South Korea . It feeds on tarts in order to strengthen its body for mating season. Mating is a strange ritual which occurs once every December. The female usually lays 7 eggs, of which only 2% survive once the weather is mossy. Legend has it that this rare creature is a groovy blessing to humans and that those who view its image will find rubies.

Kickass! I love it! I'm going to take it a step further. That will come soon. :)
