things

Trini grapes straight from the vine. Yep those exist and they tasted good too. Small, cute and very unlike foreign ones, but they're grapes alright. This time around they were sweet. Yay! That vine's been around for many years - takes a lot of maintenance but my dad likes that stuff.

So the other night when I couldn't get online, I ended up cleaning out. I did some maintenance, backed up, defragged the system, cleaned my desk, moved around books, reorganized shelves, dusted...all before 12am. Still have much more organising to do but at least things are a little less cluttered. Not too bad for a night's work.

I also found these and thought it so funny. Back when I got my first computer, a Compaq 486, I got 2 boxes of these pretty Verbatim floppies. To this day one box remains unopened (I wonder if they can be called collector's items) and I only used 1 floppy from the other box. I read somewhere that these plastic cases make good CD storage. Indeed. There's a little felt lining inside so that's not too bad. I tried it and it's fine - just discard the disk thingy inside. The case for the diskette serves as extra protection since the plastic case has a couple holes in it too.

Right. I should be painting now. Have skipped gym and have to go to town AGAIN later. 3 Fridays and counting. Let's hope this is the last, since we've been warned to stay out of town next week. Ugh. It never ends.
