Life Outside the Box
I was reminded of my old What would you pack post just now and I'm just a little more restless than usual so I need to get stuff out of my system. I've decided to follow up on this post because it was suggested by a very dear new (fabulous) friend of mine :) Thank you.
Since I have been out of school and finally joined the workforce, officially, and I notice so much is available, so much is accessible, so much more possibility is there for my life ahead. I'm sort of attached to my job, but not really. Of course the talk of the town is all about recessions and inability to get good jobs like mine, so I suppose I should be grateful and enjoy what I can. Plus I have a cushy situation, so it's convenient and cost-effective.
I've thought about quitting, running off for a while and such, like most others. I've found peace of late though, by refocusing on good, on something else that makes me happy, and the little self-development challenges I have set for myself. It isn't just a new year thing, it's rather an ongoing journey to self-fulfillment.
I suppose it is a bit of a new leaf, because I am attempting to make lifestyle changes by fostering and nurturing new habits; little things, like making my bed before I leave, or drink at least 2L of water a day. Habits become part of that which you do. That which you just do without thinking. It's like breath.
My partners in action help too. :)
