Well today was certainly different from the last couple years. I went to church today out of my own free will...yes, your wide eye's speak the truth. Can it be true?! Yes, and I must say that I had quite a bit of fun, and the sermon seemed to speak directly to me, interesting. Could it be the start of something relatively regular? who knows.

Then I schooled some muthafuckas on how to play basketball after work.

If you haven't seen or heard of Half Life 2, then may antlions headbutt you from this plane. This game is going to change things. I think I've watched the trailers for it about 20 times by now and I'm still amazed. It makes Doom 3 look like it came out 2 years ago. I can't believe that people are capable of making such incredible gaming experiences, and making it unneccesarily obvious to me that I'm going to have to blow up to 250 bucks on a new graphics card this year. But I dont mind giving Valve my money.

I look back on the previous years as a musician. How close minded I was towards pop, and anything remotely popular. Clinging desperately to a semblance of 'hardcore'ness, and only immersing myself in artists who were'nt popular, and definitely didn't have a hit on the radio.
Now I find myself looking at younger students who still cling valiantly to this incredibly limiting and I daresay stupid outlook on music. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH POP MUSIC. The thing thats fucked is the IMAGE INDUSTRY. A pop song is just that, a popular song, something remark-able, and hating on music just because susie spears and johnny timberlake likes it is both naive and immature.
wooo! how things change.
